
Giving the right gift on Mother’s Day is harder than it seems. After all, you need something that shows a wide array of feelings and emotions without being overly ‘dramatic’. The most traditional gift is most definitely flowers. But like other traditional gifts, they just may seem to ordinary for a special day like Mother’s Day. Lot of people are now giving gift baskets. Unfortunately, this type of a gift may not have the best reputation. They may often conjure up pictures foods and fruits that are simply not suitable as a Mother’s Day gift. But, unequivocally, that stereotype is no longer true.

Mother’s Day is approaching, and as always before any holiday – real or just another Hallmark one – advertisers seem to go nuts. People love holidays. What they do not like is settling for meaningless gifts. Boring, forgettable gifts that marketers present as the coolest things the Earth has ever seen. Giving a gift is a natural way to show that you care, but how to be a great giver, without feeling like brainwashed customer, buying whatever the marketers push your way?
