road to success

It’s been long time coming, but here it finally is – my own blog. I actually had a blog before, but it was just a personal blog, mostly to share pictures with my family. This blog, on the other hand, has a very specific purpose – it is a documentary of my efforts in affiliate marketing. But it is more than just a diary. It is a testament of one’s efforts in the murky waters of online marketing and advertising. The goal is to document my efforts, and hopefully, you will be able to take something and apply it to your own efforts.

I guess, before writing about what I am doing, it would only make sense to talk about what I want to achieve. To share my current position and a strategy to move myself forward.
Well, let me start with talking where I currently am. As of right now, I did not make a cent from affiliate marketing. But that should not be surprising, since I only started. I decided to start small, and with something I am familiar with. I can’t and do not want to promote a program that promises thousands of dollars a day, because I am not involved in such program. What I can promote a things I understand, things I believe in.

Currently, it is an awesome Wordpress book called Digging into Wordpress. I could keep going on about how great this book is, but that is a topic of another post. But trust me, this really is the ultimate guide to Wordpress, well beyond your typical ‘Dummy’ book.

After a very short consideration, I also decided to promote Theme Forest. It was a very short consideration, because you will not find a better site for wordpress templates, HTML templates, email templates, full blown Flash sites and components, web graphics and now even 3D graphics and art. This site has everything any web designer, or anyone using web sites, will ever need. And trust me – the quality far suppresses the prices. After all, $20 for premium wordpress design, or $30 for complete Flash site cannot be beaten. I’ve been using Theme Forest for many of my web design projects and not once was I disappointed. After all, even the template used for this blog was purchased from there. BTW, it only cost $20. As I said, you can’t beat the price and the quality.

The last thing I decided to promote at this time is Cash Crate. This really does not have much to do with online marketing, however it was the first site I ever made money online (with exception of ebay). Basically it is site that pays you to do surveys. I know, you heard about these kind of sites before…. except this one really works. You sign up for free, and you simply do the surveys and offers. The system is very clear, you know right away what you need to do and how much you will get paid. I am not very active there anymore, as I shifted my attention to other online venues, however, I guarantee that this site really works. But do not expect to earn hundreds of dollars. It is possible, but unlikely. My biggest paycheck was for $32.00. On the other hand, if you have some free time, this can be a nice, though little, supplemental income. If so, or if you are completely new to the whole concept of making money online, you could give it a try. If time is an issue and you have other sources of income you are trying to pursue, than Cash Crate will likely not be the best match for you.

So here you have it. These are the only three products and services I decided to promote for time being. No reason to rush it and start promoting everything I can find. That is not my goal. Which brings me to my – goal.

Simple put, I want to promote products and services I personally believe in, tested and used and which worked for me to my satisfaction. I am not after your money. Well, I do want a part of your money, after all, that’s what the whole idea behind online marketing is. But I want to give you a lot in exchange. I want you to know that you were not screwed out of your money, but rather that you invested it towards your future and success. My conscious is very dear to me, and I am not going to sell it out to the highest bidder. Because that is not the strategy I chose.

What I chose is to stay who I am, stay faithful to my beliefs. The only thing I want to change is my financial situation. And in order to do that, I need to find great products, but at the same time, they need to fit my philosophy,  that it needs to be helpful to people who purchase it. And you can take that to the bank.

So, I hope to see you back again. I have much more to share!
